JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — In a doubleheader showdown against the New College of Florida, Coach Mike Ellison led the Edward Waters Tigers to secure a sweep.
The momentum surged early for the Tigers in the second game as Caitlynn Lamug stepped up with runners on base, delivering a powerful hit to left field. This key play allowed both base runners to cross home plate, putting the Tigers ahead with a score of 4-2.
Not content with just one burst of offense, the Tigers continued to dominate the inning. Katie Goodin showcased her prowess by launching a shot down the left-field line, securing an RBI double that allowed Lamug to score once again.
With their relentless offensive display, the Lady Tigers sealed the victory in game two, with a final score of 12-7, completing the sweep of the doubleheader.
The Edward Waters Tigers showcased both power and finesse, solidifying their position as a force to be reckoned with in the softball world.
