Caleb Williams balling his senior year at Ribault

Williams, who is averaging 23.3 points and nine assists per game, has been nothing less than impressive his senior year.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Ribault Trojans boys’ basketball team once again is getting done on the hardwood. The Trojans are led by one of the best high school basketball players in the Sunshine State, Guard Caleb Williams.

Williams, who is averaging 23.3 points and nine assists per game, has been nothing less than impressive his senior year.

Since Williams arrived at Ribault as a freshman, the Trojans have had winning seasons every year. During his freshman year, Ribault won the district championship. In his sophomore year, the Trojans advanced to the regional finals and last season they made it to the final four.

Williams is also winning in the classroom. He has a 4.2 GPA and is enrolled in early college at FSCJ.

Some colleges recruiting him include Alcorn State, Edward Waters University, Florida A&M and Kent State.

Williams' stepfather and Trojans Head Coach Charles Showers says like any dad, he just wants his son to be the best. As for Williams, he says he just wants to put his team in a position to win it all.

“I am really just a team player. I want to win. I want to win at all costs. I do not care if I have zero points. If we win I am coming back home with a smile on my face," Williams said.
