PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- In THE PLAYERS 17th Hole Charity Challenge on Wednesday morning, Jaxson DeVille was the only contestant wearing a full costume, but no one landed a golf ball closer to the pin than the Jaguars mascot.

Jaxson's first attempt on the famous island hole at the TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course was 4 feet and 9 inches away from the pin. Jaxson defeated the likes of pro golfers Bob Duval, Jeff Klauk, and Len Mattiace as well as Gus Bradley, Blake Bortles, and Josh Scobee from the Jaguars.

Each contestant in the competition was playing on behalf of a local charity. Jaxson was representing the Jay Fund, so the foundation started by former Jaguars head coach Tom Coughlin won $10,000 thanks to "The Cat's" great shot on the 17th hole.
