Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence's season is over

The Jaguars quarterback has been placed on the injured reserve list. With only five games left to go, he will not be returning this year.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jaguars Quarterback Trevor Lawrence has been ruled out for at least four games, meaning the absolute most he could play for the rest of the '24-'25 season is one game, according to posts on the team's Facebook and Twitter. However, he is not expected to come back.

Lawrence suffered a concussion in last Sunday's game when he was hit by Texas linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair, a move that was deemed illegal. Al-Shaair was suspended for three games afterward.

The Jags ended up losing that game, and following a win by the Broncos Monday, they have officially been knocked out of the playoffs.

This means Lawrence is guaranteed to miss at least four out of five remaining games, and likely sitting out that final game as well.

Lawrence posted on X Sunday, saying he was "feeling better."
