Jacksonville native A.J. Jenkins signs with the Dallas Cowboys

In three seasons, Jenkins has just 17 receptions for 223 receiving yards on his resume.

DALLAS -- Terry Parker High School alum and Jacksonville native A.J. Jenkins is getting another shot in the NFL.

The former first round pick of the San Francisco 49ers has signed with the Dallas Cowboys, according ESPN Dallas writer Todd Archer.

Jenkins was released by the Kansas City Chiefs in February after just two seasons with the team. He was traded to Kansas City after a one-year stint with the 49ers.

In three seasons, Jenkins has just 17 receptions for 223 receiving yards on his resume.

Jenkins played college football at Illinois.
