JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars have traded left tackle Cam Robinson to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for draft pick compensation, according to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.
The move comes a week before the NFL's trade deadline.
Robinson, drafted in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, was the longest-tenured member remaining on the team. Robinson was benched last Sunday for backup tackle Walker Little.
Robinson, 29, started 91 games at left tackle for Jacksonville since being drafted. He's missed 31 games due to injury or suspension, including nearly the 2018 season with a torn ACL and eight games in 2023 because of a four-game suspension and injury.
Robinson has posted up-and-down seasons but generally has played well. According to Pro Football Focus, he's graded as the third-best pass blocker among Jacksonville's starting five offensive linemen this season. Still, Robinson has given up four sacks and 15 pressures, the second-most allowed this season.
However, Robinson's struggles occurred primarily during the first three games of the season when he gave up 13 pressures. Since then, Robinson has given up just two pressures, both happening during the team's Week 6 competition against the Chicago Bears.
