H S Football, Sideline 2024: Bradford Tornadoes

Last year, the tornadoes reached the State Championship game for the first time since 1985 last season finishing with an overall record of 14-1.

STARKE, Fla. — Our countdown to kickoff is focused on the Bradford Tornadoes, and the incredible job Head Football Coach Jamie Rodgers has done with this program, so far.

The tornadoes reached the State Championship game for the first time since 1985 last season finishing with an overall record of 14-1.

Bradford County lost in a defensive battle, 20-6 to the eventual champions, the Cocoa Tigers.

Expectations are sky high for coach Rodgers team again in the Fall, but they'll have to chase the state championship without of lot of defensive stars from last year's team.

"In our program, it's next man up and these guys are very eager to show what they can do," said Head Football Coach, Jamie Rodgers. "We also returned five starters off the defense from last year, so we don't think there's going to be a big drop off," Rodgers added.

Bradford will play Columbia on Aug 16 with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
