JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The first high school football game of the season for Sandalwood High School has been moved to Saturday morning from Friday night due to an inability to get enough police officers at the game, according to Adam Geis, Head Coach of Sandalwood High.
The Sandalwood game against Fletcher High School will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday because of the Jacksonville Jaguars preseason game on Friday.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office will be unable to provide the 25 - 30 officers that Sandalwood likes to have at their home games.
According to Geis, he likes to go overboard on safety and it can be difficult to coordinate security around the Jaguars.
