JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - It took a 4th quarter comeback and wild finish as Ed White defeated Andrew Jackson, 43-42, in boys Gateway Conference Championship, Friday night at Andrew Jackson high school.
Anthony Jeanty, capped off a wild play at the end with a layup as time expired, giving Ed White the win and their first Gateway Conference Championship under head coach Ben Jones.
Jones had led Ed White to three straight Gateway Tournament semifinal appearances the past three season until finally getting over the hump and making it to the championship game, and eventually winning the championship Friday night.
