JACKSONVILLE, Fla — It's called the Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party for a reason as thousands of Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs fans filled EverBank Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
In three minutes, the Gators get on the board early as Eugene Wilson III trucks in a 25-yard touchdown. Wilson III now has 444 yards this regular season. The Gators lead, 7-0.
The Bulldogs would be forced to kick the 22-yard field goal from Peyton Woodring and it's good. The Gators are still in the lead, 7-3.
Right before the first quarter ends, Bulldogs Ladd McConkey scores in five plays and 63 yards. The Bulldogs took the lead, 10-7.
In the second quarter, Bulldogs Daijun Edwards would pick up a 20-yard touchdown. In a little over a minute, three plays, and 31 yards later, Georgia was still on top, 17-7.
The Bulldogs are No. 1 in the SEC for a reason and on Saturday, they kept showing Jacksonville why. With more than seven minutes left in the first half, the Bulldogs took a huge lead, 26-7.
At the end of the first half, the Bulldogs exposed the Gators' weakness. The Gators weren't able to respond to the Bulldogs' physicality as they fell behind and lost some hope to clap back, 26-7.
In the third, the Bulldogs would settle for the 32-yard field goal and are still in the lead, 29-7.
With 18 seconds left in the third quarter, Bulldogs Dillon Bell completes the 17-yard pass from Carson Beck for the touchdown. The drive took six plays and 76 yards. The Bulldogs continue dominating the Gators, 36-7.
In an attempt to cut the lead some, the Florida Gators scored a touchdown in the fourth. Hayden Hansen with the catch in the endzone. 36-13, Georgia is still up.
With just under six minutes to go in the game, Kendall Milton ran it into the endzone for a one-yard touchdown. Georgia extended their lead to 43-13.
The Gators swung back with a one-yard rushing touchdown from Graham Mertz with less than two minutes in the game.
Even with the Gators' final effort, it wasn't enough to beat the Bulldogs.
At the final whistle, Georgia remained on top with a final score of 43-20.
