The FSU Seminoles host practice in Jacksonville

The new team with new faces said they're preparing for their first game in Dublin, Ireland at the end of August.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Florida State Seminoles were in our backyard for their annual Jacksonville practice.

This time, they had it in the Jaguars Flex Field when they usually have it at the University of North Florida.

And while they were in the Jaguars backyard, same familiar faces showed up like Jaguars rookie corner back Jarrian Jones.

The Seminoles with new faces of their own, like expected ace quarterback, DJ Uiagalelei are preparing for their first game against Georgia Tech.

The Seminoles will be making their first visit to Dublin, Ireland ever.

Head Coach, Mike Norvell said the biggest adjustment they'll have to make for that first game is to the weather since it's much colder out there than it is in Florida.

The Seminoles are preparing every way they can and are building confidence, early on.

"It's all about controlling what you can control. We can't be a football team that's totally dependent on circumstance where the circumstance has to be right," said Norvell.

Florida State is set to play at the Aer Lingus College Football Classic which will be held at the magnificent Aviva Stadium. The Seminoles are excited to put on a show.

"Just me knowing how we work and how we operate, and how things are supposed to go, basically the standard, I think pulling guys along and showing them the way," said Lawrance Toafili, a running back for the Seminoles.

They play at Dublin's Aviva Stadium on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
