FSU Seminoles look to continue remarkable season turnaround in Tallahassee Regional

The Seminoles will host Stetson on Friday at noon.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida State Seminoles are hosting the Tallahassee Regional starting Friday, where they'll face Stetson at noon.

This marks a dramatic turnaround for the program, as Florida State has achieved the largest improvement in the country from last season, winning 19 more games than in 2023. The resurgence has reignited hope and excitement among fans and alumni.

The Seminoles baseball program is well respected across college baseball, known for making deep runs in the College World Series. However, last season the team endured one of its roughest periods, finishing 9-21 in conference play and struggling on the road with a 6-18 record. The poor performance led to significant changes in training and strategy during the offseason.

"If you don't have a season that's complete, you don't have this conversation. I've told you guys from day one, pitch one, you have to perform. I'm proud of what our guys accomplished, it's not easy," said head coach Link Jarrett, reflecting on the team's journey.

The upcoming game against Stetson is seen as a crucial test for the Seminoles, who are eager to prove their mettle.
