GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -- Clay High School graduate Cliff Avril was back at his alma mater on Saturday morning to host a free football camp for kids. Avril had some assistance from some other NFL players such as his former high school teammate Nolan Carroll along with Red Bryant, Brandon Mebane, and Stephen Tulloch.
This is the third year in a row that the Seattle Seahawks defensive end has been hosting a charity weekend in Clay County. Earlier this week, he appeared at a couple autograph sessions. He also visited the Orange Park Branch Library to speak to children about the importance of reading over the summer.
On Sunday, June 28th, the Cliff Avril Family Foundation will host a Family Fun Day at Paul C. Armstrong Park. This is a free event for the community, and it will feature bounce houses, food, music, face painters, sports tournaments, and much more.
