A rare snowstorm struck Atlanta this week, and one tale of heroism came out of it. Well, sort of a tale of heroism. More like one rich guy heroically picked up another rich guy on an ATV.
When Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman posted on Twitter that he'd been stuck in traffic for 5+ hours and was concerned he wouldn't be getting home on Tuesday, his former teammate, Larry "Chipper" Jones, sprung into action.
Jones got suited up in all sorts of crazy camo gear and went to go find his buddy. He found him, too, proving that when the apocalypse happens, Jones will be a survivor.
The best part is that Freeman was wearing what appears to be a leather jacket and hoodie and rode the whole way back to Jones' house on an ATV.
And before we all poke fun at Atlanta for not being able to handle a few inches of snow, remember that these cities do not typically have enough/any trucks built to pour salt out on the roads, so when they freeze, that's it. Game over. End times. Chipper Times.
