JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Edward Waters Tigers men's basketball team is 13 games into their season under new head coach Cabral Huff.
The Tigers' season has been a bit of a rollercoaster, but as of late, they've turned it on, winning three straight, and they now find themselves only one game under .500.
EWU is coming off a 95-88 win over LeMoyne-Owen, a game in which Goliath Mitchell led all scorers with 33 points.
"I'm a graduate of an HBCU, so I understand the importance of it. I think these guys here will understand the importance of it, the importance of this HBCU and why it was founded. Why we're here and why we continue to do the things we are doing," said Huff. "And when you see the emerging eminence that we have here at EWU, I think anybody would want to be here."
EWU is preparing to hit the road for an SIAC East Division contest against the Albany State Tigers.
Tip-off is scheduled for 4 PM.
Coach Huff says his vision for his program is to win on the court, but most importantly, he wants his players to have success off the hardwood.
