Jacksonville 95ers' season ends in second round of The Basketball League playoffs

The 95ers earned the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville 95ers' inaugural season came to an end in the second round of The Basketball League playoffs, as they fell 2-0 against the Raleigh Firebirds in the best-of-three series.

Jacksonville lost game one of the series 127-99 and game two 115-112.

The 95ers were without their leading scorer, Dylon Cormier, who averaged around 18 points per game in the regular season.

Despite the unwanted finish, the 95ers shined in their first season, earning the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye for the Eastern Conference playoffs by having the best regular season record in their conference.
