Jacksonville 95ers Meet with The Basketball League's President to Discuss Organizational Growth

“We want to be a community asset." -- David Magley

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville 95ers hosted The Basketball League (TBL) president, David Magley, at their Pickup USA training facility for a series of meetings aimed at growing the team's brand and enhancing its presence on the First Coast.

Magley emphasized that the focus of these meetings is to help the 95ers evolve into a "must-watch entity" in the region. He praised the team’s dance squad and proposed adding a mascot and other entertainment elements to give home games a more professional atmosphere.

While Magley expressed confidence in the team's on-court performance, he stressed the importance of focusing on off-the-court initiatives to elevate the organization to new heights.

“We want to be a community asset,” Magley said. “When this court is empty, we want to be in here doing free clinics for kids. We want to be visible. We want to treat our guys like they are humans. We want them to have financial literacy classes. We want to have chaplains to speak to—more for mental health than for faith. But if they need faith, they can do that too. More important is how we can encourage these guys to be the best they can be.”
