Cherish Perrywinkle mother, others testify at Donald Smith trial

It's unclear when the man accused of killing Cherish Perrywinkle, 8, will go to trial. The suspect will appear in court for another pre-trial hearing July 2.

The Donald Smith trial begins Monday.

The first person expected to testify is Rayne Perrywinkle, the mother of Cherish Perrywinkle, the 8-year-old girl Smith is accused of killing.

Smith is charged with murder, sexual battery and kidnapping in the June 2013 death.He has pleaded not guilty.
