JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Plans for a new Jaguar stadium has had everyone talking lately.
A few of the comments on social media seem to center on one topic, in particular: ticket prices.
"All I can think about is ticket prices."
"How much are ticket prices going to go up?"
"Ticket prices are too high now!"
THE QUESTION
Do the Jaguars plan to raise ticket prices at the new stadium?
SOURCES

Jaguars President Mark Lamping
THE ANSWER
Yes, the Jaguars do intend to raise prices.
WHAT WE FOUND
Jaguars President Mark Lamping addressed ticket pricing during community meetings around Jacksonville.
"We'll be able to get our average ticket price up by the greater amenities that we have, still having room in the stadium for everyone," said Lamping.
Lamping says the increased ticket prices would come with a silver lining because they'd mean cheaper food.
"Food and beverage plays a strategic role for the Jaguars right now because we don't have the infrastructure in the stadium to fully realize the market for premium seats," said Lamping.
A Jaguars spokesperson told First Coast News that luxury seating will be more expensive as the seats will be, well, more luxurious in the new stadium.
However, he said the cheaper seating, like the 300 level seats for example, shouldn't see a major change.
