Troubled dentist, Dr. Howard Schneider, moving out of Jacksonville

"I am moving to Charleston, where my wife is from," said Dr. Schneider," I am sick of it; I have done nothing wrong."
We will pursue

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- In April Dr. Howard Schneider had a respected Pediatric Dental Practice,.now he is out of business and he is moving out of his Riverside home.

Movers were loading a large U-haul truck in his front yard.

"You all need to leave, " said a mover," the homeowners don't want you here."

The Schneiders did not want us there and they did not want to be seen. The movers used cardboard boxes to hide his ex-wife Deborah from the camera; while another used his body to shield Mr. Schneider as he walked into the house

The 78 year old dentist has been in practice more than forty years. His business collapsed after angry protests from families, day after day, over how he treated their children. It lead to multiple investigations and the dentist surrendering his license.

"I am moving to Charleston, where my wife is from," said Dr. Schneider," I am sick of it; I have done nothing wrong."

His decision to move caught some by surprise.

"I'm surprised he is moving with his wife whom he just divorced,"said Gust Sarris.

Sarris, a Jacksonville Attorney, represents some of the families in a lawsuit against Schneider

"We will pursue it," he said, "we will do everything to protect these victims."

Sarris was first to file suit a malpractice complaint against Schneider; Jacksonville Attorney John Phillips is also representing some of Schneider's former patients.

"Sounds like he's running to me," said Sarris.

Sarris said he intends to include Schneider's wife in his lawsuit; he is in the process of mailing out letters to the dentist on behalf of more than 60 plus patients.

"For law enforcement it is not going to hurt their investigation<' said Sarris, "for my end of it we are going to chase those assets where ever he may run."

There is a hearing scheduled in July to hear a motion to dismiss, Sarris expects the courts to allow the lawsuit to proceed.
