BRUNSWICK, Ga. — The Brunswick Police Department is reminding parents to supervise their children while using BB guns.
On Tuesday evening, officers recovered what they thought was a .357 pistol from a 14-year-old, BPD said in a Facebook post Wednesday morning.
However, police discovered it was actually a BB gun made it look like a .357.
No one would be able to distinguish the difference between the two, police said, especially in the dark or in a split second.
Police advise parents to supervise their children if they have a BB gun like this one or any BB gun and make sure they are using it in a safe area.
