KUSA -- Born with Cerebral Palsy, Lucas Vialpando from Aurora cannot stand up or walk without crutches. But Lucas doesn't like the word "can't."
He was told by so many in high school, that he could never wrestle, but last summer he qualified and competed in one of the top high school wrestling tournaments in the nation, at 2013 Junior Nationals.
Vialpando did not win the competition, but that hasn't stopped his dream.
Vilpando recently met with the US Wrestling team in Colorado Springs.
He is hoping he can inspire the Olympic Committee to bring wrestling to the Paralympic games.
"The motivation to get out there and succeed. There is no better feeling than to get out there and succeed no matter what level you are at," said Vialpando.
Vialpando hopes wrestling in the Paralympics could help others with disabilities, even soldiers who have lost hope.
He has presented his Paralympic dream to the coach of the USA Wrestling team. He is currently working on a proposal for the US Olympic Committee.
