JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Salvation Army canteens continue to deliver meals and drinks throughout the First Coast on Monday after assessing the continued needs of those who have been displaced or inconvenienced by Hurricane Matthew.
There are a total of five canteens that will be open throughout St. Johns County on Monday, Oct. 10. They will mostly be available in areas that were impacted the hardest. The trucks will be offering both lunch and dinner, as well as snacks.
- First Baptist Church of Hastings, Fla., located at 109 N Main Street
- Bridge and Granada in St. Augustine from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.
- One roving canteen will be going between Crescent Beach and Butler Beach
- Vilano Beach near the Publix at 55 Ava Way in St. Augustine
- Solomon Calhoun Center at 1300 Duval Street in St. Augustine
The Salvation Army will be offering on-call canteens for both Duval and Clay County as needed for the duration of the day.
The canteens throughout Duval, Clay and St. Johns counties served a total of 1,605 meals, 3,915 drinks and 1,597 snacks on Sunday alone.
