A 31-year-old Jacksonville woman killed in a head-on wreck in Middleburg was identified as Kathryn Touchton on Tuesday, a crash report says.
Touchton was driving west on County Road 218 Tuesday morning and collided with a GMC Sierra driving on the wrong side of the road. The driver of the Sierra suffered serious injuries - Touchton died at the scene.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Mimosa Avenue and Country Road 218, near Nicole's Cafe in the Country and Russell's Feed & Farm Supply.
Troopers say they don't know what caused the driver of the GMC to first veer off the road then back onto the road in the wrong lanes, but no charges are listed in the crash report.
