GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida (UF) men's basketball coach Todd Golden is facing accusations of sexual harassment and stalking from multiple women, according to media reports.
A formal Title IX complaint obtained by UF campus newspaper The Alligator includes allegations of sexual exploitation, sexual harassment and stalking.
"The complaint alleges that over a year, Golden specifically aimed these behaviors toward UF students," the Alligator stated in its report.
Golden allegedly sent photos and videos of his genitalia while traveling for the university and made unwanted sexual advances on Instagram. The coach is also accused of requesting sexual favors from students and some instances of stalking, according to the Alligator.
"On allegedly more than one occasion, Golden was engaging women on Instagram by liking photos then waiting until they read the DM before un-liking the photos to avoid suspicion," the Alligator reported.
The Alligator added that, on more than one occasion, Golden would take photos of women walking or driving before sending the pictures to them.
According to CBS Sports, the 39-year-old coach is entering his third season as the Gators coach. He was hired back in 2022 after a successful three-year stint in San Francisco.
"Florida went 16-17 in his first season but bounced back with a 24-12 season and NCAA Tournament appearance last season before being bounced in the first round as a No. 7 seed," CBS Sports said in its report.
The Alligator reached out to the UF men’s basketball coaching staff but said it hasn't received a response.
