ORLANDO, Fla. — A 7-year-old boy who went missing from his Orlando home on Monday night was found dead on Tuesday, Orange County deputies report.
A massive search was underway Tuesday morning after Emerson Felix went missing in the area of Flintshire Street around 6:45 p.m. Monday.
During their search, the Orange County Sheriff's Office says they found the young boy dead in a body of water near his home.
Detectives say they are still looking into the circumstances surrounding Emerson's disappearance and death.
"We mourn Emerson’s ... loss and extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family, his classmates and all who love him," OCSO posted on social media Tuesday.
