SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. — Former Raines High football star and Florida Gator Jabar Gaffney was arrested Friday evening in Sumter County and charged with one count of marijuana possession, one count of drug possession and one felony count of drug possession, a jail log shows.
Gaffney, 35, posted $7,000 bail and was released late Friday night.
He played wide receiver in the NFL and played for the six teams, including the Dolphins and the Patriots, before being suspended in 2012 for failing to report a prior arrest, USA Today reports.
Gaffney played for the Gators before being kicked off the team after facing a grand theft charge, the Florida Times-Union reported in 2000.
