ORLANDO, Fla. — Update: Makiya has returned home and is safe, the Orlando Police Department said on X.
Original: A missing child alert has been issued for 12-year-old Makiya Cole from Orlando, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).
Makiya was reportedly last seen on Coyler Street near South Westmoreland Drive in Orlando on Saturday, FDLE said in the alert. She is described as 4'3'' and 100 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
FDLE added she was also last seen wearing a black bonnet, black shirt, blue jeans and black and white shoes. Makiya also might have blue-tipped hair.
FDLE says anyone with information on Makiya's whereabouts can call the Orlando Police Department at 321-235-5300 or 911.
