ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is grieving the loss of Lt. Eloilda Shea, who was shot and killed on Monday by her husband, a former deputy with the department.
The sheriff's office identified her estranged husband, former Orange County deputy Anthony Shea.
Shea was arrested Friday afternoon, according to deputies.
In an internal memo obtained by WESH2 News, Sheriff John Mina said Anthony Shea resigned from the sheriff's office earlier this year while under investigation for allegations that would have resulted in his termination.
According to the sheriff, the couple has two young children.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said Shea was a 39-year-old who joined the department in 2011.
