A new retail shopping center is planned for RiverTown in St. Johns County with a Publix storefront being the center of it, according to developer Mattamy Homes.
The Publix will be 54,000 square feet and have a drive-thru pharmacy. It is planned that there will also be adjacent retail shops and outparcels at the shopping center.
At this time, no other information about the projected stores has been released.
Publix is currently working through St. Johns County's development process.
“The addition of commercial amenities in RiverTown, anchored by a company as respected and customer-oriented as Publix, speaks to our ongoing dedication to meeting the needs of our homeowners and providing an exceptional lifestyle experience,” said Jason Sessions, VP of Land Acquisition and Development with Mattamy’s Jacksonville Division. “We’re very much looking forward to working with Publix and other partners to bring the shopping experience at RiverTown to life.”
RiverTown encompasses about 5,000 acres and is located on the banks of the St. Johns River, west of I-95. It is northwest of the World Golf Village. It has country-club style amenities.
