TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis reacted to President Joe Biden's decision to end his bid for reelection in a post on X Sunday.
Biden announced he would end his campaign for the presidency Sunday afternoon, as concerns after his debate with Donald Trump persisted amongst the Democratic Party.
DeSantis ran in the Republican primary in the hopes of opposing Biden in the November election. His campaign was suspended on January 21.
In his reaction, DeSantis focused on Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her "complicit in a massive coverup to hide and deny that Joe Biden was not capable of discharging the duties of the office." His full post on X is below:
"Kamala Harris was complicit in a massive coverup to hide and deny the fact that Joe Biden was not capable of discharging the duties of the office. She also was the the border czar during the worst border crisis in American history. Democrats are just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic."
There has been no official statement released by DeSantis's camp apart from this post.
