Start of early voting in Duval County pushed back amid incoming Tropical Storm Debby

The first five days of early voting are optional, according to Florida statutes.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Duval County Supervisor of Elections pushed back the start of early voting to begin on Wednesday, citing inclement weather.

Early voting was set to begin in Duval County on Monday, but due to incoming Tropical Storm Debby, downtown offices and the election center will be closed. 

The Supervisor of Elections said it plans to reopen on Tuesday and set the start of early voting to begin Wednesday.

The first five days of early voting are optional, according to Florida statutes.
