JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — With the general election quickly approaching, many are ready to get their early voting out of the way.
Early voting is made accessible during any state or federal election and for anyone eligible to vote. Early voting in Florida begins around Oct. 21 in most counties. The deadline to register to vote is Oct. 7. The general election is Nov. 5.
To register to vote in Florida,
You can either...
- Submit an online voter registration application,
- Print and fill out a registration form and mail it to your supervisor of elections office,
- Or register in person at your supervisor of elections office
You will need the following information to register:
- Your Florida driver license or Florida identification card issued by the Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles,
- The issued date of your Florida DL or Florida ID card; and
- The last four digits of your Social Security Number.
Early voting times and locations
As for the First Coast, early voting locations will open in Duval County from Oct. 21 through Nov. 3. You can place your ballot between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday or 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the weekend.
