Voters in Kentucky and Indiana head to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 5, to decide on a number of big races and issues.

FLORIDA, USA — Election Day is Tuesday and as voters head to the polls, here's what they need to bring to cast their ballots.

The only thing voters need to bring to the polls is a photo ID with a signature.

What forms of ID are accepted?

Florida

Florida state law requires voters to present a valid picture identification before casting their ballots. If the picture identification does not include a signature voters will be asked to provide a second form of ID that does have a signature.

If voters do not bring any identification, they can cast a provisional ballot that will be counted if the signature on their ballot matches the signature on the voter's registration card.

Here's what forms of ID are accepted:

  • Florida driver's license (other state driver's licenses will not be accepted)
  • Florida identification card issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles
  • United States passport
  • Debit or credit card
  • Military identification
  • Student identification
  • Retirement center identification
  • Neighborhood association identification
  • Public assistance identification
  • Veteran health identification card issued by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs
  • License to carry a concealed weapon or firearm
  • Employee identification card issued by any branch, department, agency or entity of the federal government, the state, a county or a municipality

Georgia

Georgia law requires voters to present photo identification when voting in person or absentee.

  • Georgia Driver's License, even if expired
  • Student ID from a Georgia public college of university
  • Any valid state or federal government-issued photo ID
  • Valid United States passport ID
  • Valid United States military ID with photo
  • Valid tribal photo ID with a photo
  • Georgia Voter Identification Card

Can I bring my phone into a voting precinct?

Florida

Yes, Florida voters are allowed to bring their phones into voting booths, but there are rules.

Voters can use their phones to reference any sample ballots, notes or voter guides to assist them.

Voters are also allowed to photograph their own ballots, and are even permitted to take a selfie inside the voting booth.

However, no photography is permitted inside a polling room or early voting area, and it's illegal to post pictures of election ballots and post them online. Voters are also not allowed to take photos with other voters in a voting area.
