Navy pilots spotted something flying in the air while they were flying along the east coast of the United States, according to the New York Times.
It was caught on video, and it still has not been identified.
Was it a UFO? Was it something man-made?
The video was published by the New York Times. It comes from navy planes flying off the Florida coast in 2014 and 2015. You can hear pilots talking to each other about it.
At one point, you hear a pilot say, "Wow. What is that?"
First Coast News reached out to Naval Air Station Jax. No one there will provide a comment.
It is indeed a UFO, meaning an unidentified flying object.
But is it of Earth or is out from out of this world?
Former fighter pilot John Morrison of Orange Park highly doubts the object has little green men in it.
"It could be new technology," he said. "It could be a bunch of drones flying in the area." He said the object could even have a device which can "do things to cause the target on the scope to look different."
Elizabeth Lada is an astronomy professor at the University of Florida. After reading the article, she said, "These objects were seen by the coast, so it could be surveillance systems."
The article states the navy planes were using new technology, updated from the equipment used in the 1980s.
"There could be problems or bugs in that imaging system," Lada noted.
Morrison said the US military could be even be testing out how good that new technology is.
"Somebody could have said, 'Let's send a couple F35's out tonight with these guys working and see if they can find us. Let's see if this new technology works'," Morrison said.
He and Lada say there's just not enough proof to indicate this object is from another planet.
"People might like it to be E.T.," Lada said. "But I don't really think there's enough evidence for that."
