On Friday, Naval Station Mayport participated in a time-honored military tradition.
Captain Jason Canfield relieved Captain David Yoder as commanding officer of Naval Station Mayport during a change of command ceremony which transfers total responsibility of the base from one individual to another.
The guest speaker was Rear Admiral Gary A. Mayes, commander, Navy Region Southeast.
Governor Ron DeSantis will also be in attendance.
