Someone is heard yelling, "Get down" as Trump takes cover.

BUTLER, Pa. — Former president Donald Trump was just beginning his rally in Butler, Pa. when apparent gunshots rang out. Video shows the frantic moments that followed.

The sound of loud pops ring out. At the same time as the apparent gunshot is heard, Trump is seen flinching. He reaches for his right ear as the bangs continue to be heard.

Someone is heard yelling, "Get down, get down, get down."

Trump drops to the ground as Secret Service agents cover the former president.

More apparent gunshots are heard as people in the crowd begin to scream.

More Secret Service agents rush to the stage. After a few seconds, another apparent gunshot is heard, following by more screams.

Trump’s microphone picked up the sound of people yelling “Get down, get down, get down” while at least three agents piled on top of him.

Someone’s voice was heard through the microphone asking “Are we good?” Secret Service agents in tactical gear stood on the stage, some looking out to the crowd.

A voice was heard saying, “Shooter’s down.” Then a voice said, “We’re clear” and “Let’s move.”

Agents are heard shouting directions, and a voice that sounds like Trump's is heard saying, "Let me get my shoes."

"Hold on, your head is bloody," someone tells Trump.

Trump, surrounded by Secret Service agents, emerges with blood on his ear and a fist in the air.

Trump continues to pump his fist in the air. The crowd chants "USA, USA" as agents rush the former president into a vehicle waiting close to the stage.

Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung later issued a statement saying, “President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act. He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow.”

The Associated Press reported that the suspected gunman and at least one rally attendee were killed.
