Johnny Depp's daughter defends him on Instagram: 'My dad is the sweetest'

Lily-Rose Depp, Johnny Depp's 17-year-old daughter, has defended her dad on Instagram without explicitly saying he is innocent.

Lily-Rose Depp, Johnny Depp's 17-year-old daughter, has defended her dad on Instagram without explicitly saying he is innocent.

Since Amber Heard was granted a restraining order against Johnny Depp, Lily-Rose posted a screengrab Sunday of a news story that said: "There was no evidence of any crime" and "The person reporting the crime [Heard] did not insist on a report."

Before that, Lily-Rose posted a throwback photo, presumably of herself and her father, with this caption: "My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know."

According to TMZ, Lily-Rose's mother and Johnny's former partner, Vanessa Paradis, also showed her support for Johnny, in a letter.

"Johnny Depp ... is a sensitive, loving and loved person, and I believe in all my heart that these recent allegations being made are outrageous," says the handwritten letter posted by the site. "In all the years I have known Johnny, he has never been physically abusive with me."

Johnny was seen performing with his band Hollywood Vampires in Germany on Sunday. His lawyer asked the judge to deny Heard's request for spousal support.

Heard filed a domestic abuse restraining order against Johnny on Friday after filing for divorce Monday. Heard's filing Friday alleged a history of abuse throughout her relationship with Depp, according to the Associated Press.

"During the entirety of our relationship, Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me," Heard wrote. "I endured excessive emotional, verbal and physical abuse from Johnny, which has included angry, hostile, humiliating and threatening assaults to me whenever I questioned his authority or disagreed with him."
