The Miami Air International plane that skidded off of a Naval Air Station Jacksonville runway and into the St. Johns River last Friday will finally be placed on land Thursday.
The 737 aircraft was removed from its crashing site and to a barge at Green Cove Springs on Wednesday.
The National Transportation Safety Board says the plane will be removed from the barge and placed on land next to the river.
A fence will be put up surrounding the plane and the NTSB will then examine it. After the NTSB examines the plane, it will be scrapped.
The aircraft was carrying 142 people at the time of the crash. Nobody died. The bodies of two cats and one dog were recovered from the water.
