The woman was not using a crosswalk, police said.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville sheriff's detective hit a woman in her late 60s who was crossing the street Wednesday night, police said.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, she will make a full recovery.

Around 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, the woman was crossing the intersection of Cassat Avenue and Plymouth Street. Police say she was not using a crosswalk, though there are multiple at this intersection.
