What to know about flight cancellations, delays at Jacksonville International Airport

23 flights have been canceled as of 6 a.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is open Friday , but travelers should be aware that flights are experiencing cancellations and delays due to Tropical Storm Helene.

The National Hurricane Center classified Helene as a Category 3 storm Thursday afternoon. As of Friday morning, the storm has been downgraded to a tropical storm. 

As of 6 a.m. Friday at JAX, there were 23 flights canceled.
