UPDATE: Boil water advisory lifted for Nocatee area

A 20-inch water main break briefly knocked out water for Nocatee residents Sunday afternoon.

JEA crews rerouted the water as they fixed the break off Nocatee Parkway and Valley Ridge.

The break caused a hole in which water had to be pumped out before it could be fixed.

JEA spokeswoman Gerri Boyce confirmed a boil water advisory is in effect for two days starting Sunday night. On Tuesday, that boil water advisory was lifted for the following areas:

-Nocatee (including residents, businesses, and schools)

-Bartram Springs Community – South of 14538 Cherry Lake Drive W and 14499 Cherry Lake Drive E

-Bartram Springs Elementary School

-The Reserve at Bartram Springs

-Cypress Trace

-Community Businesses at the Promenade Plaza – Everest Lane

-Racetrack Road – East of Bartram Park Blvd to Philips Highway (US1)
