VILANO BEACH, Fla. — A newly-released video from the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office shows the rescue of two passengers who were aboard a sinking boat near the Vilano Inlet.
On Wednesday, the SJCSO air located the people as their 55-foot boat was rapidly sinking. At first, they were on top of the boat as it was sinking.
The passengers then put on life jackets and jumped into the water.
Video shows the passengers being pulled onto a raft and taken to a St. Augustine Fire Department Marine Unit boat.
The SJCSO Marine Unit, the Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission, and U.S. Coast Guard also aided in the rescue.
