Vino Volo, Angie's Subs get permits for construction at Jacksonville International Airport

A spokesperson with JAX said the airport is looking to open both locations in early 2024.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Travelers will have some new options to fuel up at Jacksonville International Airport. Two new vendors, Vino Volo and Angie's Subs, recently received their construction permits.

Now that the businesses got their permits, it shouldn't be long until the locations open.

A spokesperson with JAX said the airport is looking to have the locations open in early 2024.

Vino Volo, which is a wine and small plates spot, used to be open at the airport, but closed due to JAX expanding its security.

The location will expand to include a Verdi Market with more food and coffee for travelers.

Angie's Subs will be the second sub restaurant to open in Jacksonville airport, after Firehouse Subs opened a few years back.

First Coast News spoke with Bob Rowe who flies out of JAX once a week, and he's excited for Vino Volo to open, but he does want something bigger for the airport.

“I wish they had something a little bit bigger With more TVs where you could sit down and enjoy a beer and some food," said Rowe.

Burrito Gallery was supposed to go into the location the Angie's Subs will now be, but there wasn't enough space for it.

However, Burrito Gallery is slated to be part of a whole new food court planned for a new concourse.

An airport spokesperson said they have not turned dirt on the new concourse due to delays.
