Two men were found dead in the water under the George Crady Bridge, which spans Nassau Sound, have been identified by the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission.
The two men were found under the bridge by Good Samaritans at approximately 11 a.m. last Thursday. The people who found them removed them from the water and attempted CPR.
Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission officers responded to the call, as well as Nassau County Fire Rescue.
NCFR EMTs pronounced the two men dead on the scene.
One of the men was identified as Fennis F. Mills, who celebrated his 77th birthday less than two weeks before his death. The other was Rodney J. Hall, 65.
They were both from Jacksonville.
FWC says they are still investigating the deaths.
