Teen victim in hit-and-run on Jacksonville's Westside dies

Police confirmed the teenager died after they were hospitalized Monday. Police are asking for help identifying the vehicle involved.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The teenager who was struck by a car while walking on Jacksonville's Westside Monday has died, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office confirmed.

JSO says the driver pulled in to a parking lot to inspect the damage on their car, then left the scene of the crash, on Blanding Boulevard near Cedar Hills Boulevard. 

The teen was taken to the hospital with "life-threatening injuries" Monday. As of Wednesday, JSO reported that they had died.
