Teacher of the Week: Mrs. Melanson from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts

Congratulations Tiffany Melanson: This Week's Teacher of the Week!

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — This week, we celebrate Tiffany Melanson, a remarkable educator whose impact is felt throughout the halls of Douglas Anderson School of the Arts.

"Ms. Melanson is the best teacher I ever had!" one of her students told First Coast News.

For 14 years, she has dedicated herself to education, always placing it at the forefront. She reflected, "These are the halls where I became myself. This is where I found my own voice."

Melanson treats her students as equals, empowering them to trust their own voices and express themselves through creative writing.

A published author, she loves poetry and wants her students to love it too. She truly nourishes that curiosity and care for the art form."

For Melanson, each experience she shares with her students is a full-circle moment. "I was a writer for the Elan magazine, and now I’m the faculty advisor."

She is a true teacher of excellence, helping students connect their passions with purpose. "She really fans that creative flame in each student." said Jaslyn, her student."

As this week’s Teacher of the Week, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Melanson!

This recognition comes just in time, as Friday marks Melanson's last day at Douglas Anderson.
