JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —
Duval Charter School at Baymeadows K-12 celebrated its teachers in a big way Tuesday morning for National Teacher Appreciation Day.
Typically, First Coast News surprises one teacher, but this week because it’s teacher appreciation week, we celebrated more than 30 teachers at the school. Even students of the school joined in on the celebration.
One student mentioned how his teachers really changed his life during a tough time.
And although the teachers loved being recognized and celebrated, there were two things they say really makes them happy.
“Jean day and a donut that’s all it takes,” said one teacher.
Each teacher’s hard work pays off in a big way, making a difference one student at a time.
