Tanker trucks catch fire in Jacksonville Wednesday

A hole was blown in one of the trucks.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Three tanker trucks caught fire in the back of a business on 28th Street in Jacksonville Wednesday.

Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department Capt. Eric Prosswimmer says the tankers were empty, but vapors caused a hole to blow in one of them.

No one was injured in the incident.

Two HazMat teams were called out around 7 p.m. The scene was clearing around 8 p.m.

Prosswimmer says firefighters did an excellent job keeping a nearby home from catching fire.
