JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison for one count of grand theft last week, the State Attorney's Office said.
Jessica Tahirih Merlino, 38, pleaded guilty last month to the charge.
Merlino was an accountant at Stellar Recover Inc. for three years from 2011 to 2014 and during that time she stole nearly $200,000 from the company.
That was just while she worked for the company, the Attorney's Office said.
Merlino continued to steal money through a coworker - totaling $366,177.79.
In addition to 10 years, Merlino also must repay the entire amount to her former employer.
